Adoption from India
The photo report "Adoption from India" shows the adoption of the Indian boy Ranjit by a Swiss couple. The place of adoption is the Shishu Bhavan orphanage, the "City of Peace", which Mother Teresa founded in 1955. The children's home, which was a temporary home for orphans, was located in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal in India. Due to illegal adoptions it has been closed by Indian authorities.
The photo series documents the process of the adoption in Kolkata/India, as well as Ranjit's new life three months later in Switzerland.
